Meet Jon


In 1970, with an engineering degree and Vietnam military service behind me, I entered the real estate market with my first home purchase and joined the construction industry with my job in the heating and air conditioning field.

Since that time I have built several homes and involved myself with plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning work including design and installation.

More recently, I sold my construction business and moved to the Smith Mountain Lake area to pursue a vision of working with homeowners utilizing my expertise gained through the construction industry. My goal is to serve you by offering a comprehensive assessment of your home utilizing my qualifications.

As a certified AHIT (American Home Inspector Training Institute) home inspector, each of my inspections is based on industry Standards of Practice and the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Code of Ethics. All reports are computer generated, easily read, and include a summary page.

I welcome the opportunity to perform a home inspection either for your existing home, if you are a prospective seller, or for your new home, if you are a prospective buyer. BIO:

Jon Turner is president of Westlake Home Inspections, Inc., a Virginia firm insured to perform home inspections. He is a 1968 engineering graduate of North Carolina State University and a Vietnam veteran. In 1970 he joined Wall -Turner Company which he purchased in 1980. Jon sold his business in 2004 and moved to Moneta, Virginia. He is a member of Radford Baptist Church, SML Lions Club and SML Chamber of Commerce.
